Chris Sakugawa was born in Anaheim, California in 1982. He has an extensive background in a multitude of different mediums. Chris has fine tuned his skills through personal exploration as well as the study of traditional illustration at the Academy of Art University where he graduated with a BFA in illustration.

Chris’s work often deals with imaginative narratives, often based on dreams and inspired by his everyday life. Being of mixed ethnicity and raised in a diverse cultural environment has also influenced his art.
